BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) has realigned their proprietary technology tools to be organized under the EMPOWER by BCD Meetings & Events brand. The structure increases the clarity and comprehension of the company’s tech portfolio, highlighting the efficiencies offered by each tool that empowers their users.
EMPOWER is comprised of six tools: Venues, a proprietary digital sourcing platform; HCP, an application for managing HCP programs within the Life Sciences; Invitation, a Cvent add-on that enables the curation of event invitation lists; Insights, a centralized, consolidated data repository that provides analytics and interactive visualizations; Expense, a non-employee expense management tool that simplifies the process of payment requests independent from a payroll system; and the latest, Assist, a Generative AI tool designed to enhance productivity, streamline processes and provide valuable assistance in day-to-day tasks.
“The definition of the word ‘empower’ is to give someone the authority and confidence to make informed decisions and achieve goals,” said Ted Stone, SVP of Global Technology & Products. “Each proprietary application under the EMPOWER brand is purpose built and enables our teams to address unique client needs and while helping to provide an unmatched level of service.”
Following recent years of growth, BCD M&E kicked off their three-year strategic plan, Thinking Forward, guided by the goals of engagement, creativity and growth. EMPOWER is a key investment aligned with the plan’s year-one objective to strengthen foundations. BCD M&E’s stability has created a flexible environment to meet client needs, and its focus on foundation has allowed for creative service improvements.
“First and foremost, we’re a service company,” said Stone. “We aren’t looking to reinvent the wheel and we remain diligent in our technology investments. Our goal with EMPOWER By BCD M&E is to support our teams in delivering incredible and efficient service to our clients. EMPOWER provides us the advantage of architecting solutions with proprietary technology, 3rd party technology or a combination of both.”
