Booking.com Reveals How Millennials and Gen Z Are Redefining Indian Travel

For India’s young travellers, a holiday is no longer just a getaway — it’s an investment in memories, connections and shared experiences. According to Booking.com, Millennials and Gen Z are reshaping the country’s travel culture by prioritising meaningful moments over mere destinations.Family ties and friendships are driving these choices. Nearly 62% of Indian millennials prefer travelling with immediate family, well above the APAC average. Gen Z is widening the circle — 83% are willing to fund friends’ trips, while 92% of Gen Z parents have already paid for family vacations.Spending habits are also evolving. A striking 89% of Gen Z and 42% of millennials plan to increase travel budgets this year, significantly higher than regional averages. While many admit they’d splurge on unforgettable holidays, they remain mindful of value — preferring multiple short getaways over one long vacation.“Today’s Indian traveller is driven by a desire for meaningful connection.
