In a major push to boost connectivity to the upcoming Noida International Airport, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a ₹3,630.77 crore greenfield corridor linking the airport directly with the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.
The 31.42-km corridor, to be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Model, will connect the Delhi–Faridabad–Ballabhgarh–Sohna spur to the airport, significantly improving access from Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad.
The project is expected to cut travel time, ease congestion and strengthen logistics connectivity across the NCR, while integrating with key networks including the Yamuna Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway and Dedicated Freight Corridor.
About 11 km of the stretch will be elevated, especially in high-growth zones under the Faridabad Master Plan 2031, with partial funding support from the Haryana government.
The approval comes as the Noida International Airport moves closer to launch, having recently secured its aerodrome licence from DGCA. The airport’s first phase will handle 1.2 crore passengers annually, positioning it as a major aviation and logistics hub in North India.
