The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board inaugurated the much-anticipated Chanderi Eco Retreat in Chanderi, a historic town in the Ashoknagar district. Highlighting the retreat’s significance, Shri Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts, and Endowment (Independent Charge), emphasized its aim to bring Chanderi’s rich history and cultural heritage to the forefront of India’s tourism map. This initiative not only showcases the region’s natural splendor and historic landmarks but also provides employment opportunities and supports local artisans, establishing Chanderi as a must-visit destination for both domestic and international tourists.
The second edition of the Chanderi Eco Retreat offers a unique blend of experiences. Visitors can explore the town’s cinematic charm through a specially curated Stree Selfie Point, featuring filming locations from the blockbuster Bollywood movie. The event also includes an art and craft market displaying local talent, a food festival serving authentic regional delicacies, and folk art performances that bring Chanderi’s vibrant culture to life. For adventure enthusiasts, the retreat features thrilling activities, ensuring a memorable and engaging experience for all.
An all-season luxury tent city has been established in collaboration with the Ashoknagar District Administration and Sunset Desert Camp, offering an unparalleled glamping experience amid Chanderi’s scenic beauty.
