Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams has appointed Kamal Munasinghe as General Manager, effective February 15, 2026. He will concurrently continue as Senior Vice President – Colombo Hotels at Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts.
Munasinghe will oversee the strategic direction and operations of South Asia’s first fully integrated resort as it enters its next growth phase. He brings over three decades of hospitality experience, including leadership roles with Marriott, Hyatt and Mövenpick, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts.
A former Area Vice President – Colombo and General Manager of Cinnamon Grand Colombo, he has also led Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur under Hyatt Hotels Corporation. His international experience across Switzerland, Malaysia and Vietnam adds global perspective to the role.
Cinnamon Life, part of Sri Lanka’s largest private sector investment, features 687 rooms and suites, five ballrooms, multiple dining venues, a premium retail mall and a curated collection of over 1,000 Sri Lankan artworks, positioning it as a landmark integrated resort in Colombo.
His appointment comes as Sri Lanka’s tourism sector regains momentum, with Cinnamon Life aiming to strengthen Colombo’s standing as a regional hub for luxury, entertainment and business travel.
