Conrad Bengaluru appoints Mohammed Eliyaz as Executive Chef

Conrad Bengaluru has announced the appointment of Chef Mohammed Eliyaz as he takes on the role of Executive Chef. With a celebrated career across leading luxury brands in India and deep-rooted passion for the gastronomy landscape, Chef Eliyaz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. 

With over 15 years of diverse experience, Chef Eliyaz is a passionate culinary expert and has been previously associated with renowned properties such as The Leela Bhartiya City, JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, The Oberoi New Delhi, and ITC Maurya New Delhi, Hyatt Regency Delhi. In his illustrious journey, he has collaborated with some of the finest Michelin Star chefs, including Chef Francesco Apreda, Chef Davide Rebeccatto, Chef Felice la Basso, Chef Focaccia, Chef Vincenzo di Tuoro, Chef Dominic Chapman, and Chef Michael Wilson. 

Chef Eliyaz was the Executive Chef at Nadodi in Kuala Lumpur, a noteworthy Michelin Star restaurant. He also held the position of Group R&D Chef at Cinnamon Group, where he spearheaded the introduction of new ventures and directed food and beverage development strategies. Closer home, he led the kitchen at ALBA, the acclaimed European restaurant at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru for two and a half years, during which ALBA was honoured with the ‘Best Italian Restaurant’ award in the fine dining category at the Food Awards 2018.

As the Executive Chef, Chef Eliyaz will oversee planning and strategy for the famed culinary pillar at Conrad Bengaluru. Chef Eliyaz holds a B.Sc. degree in Hospitality and Catering Management from IHM Meerut and has had the privilege of training under renowned chefs from Hotel Hassler, Rome.
