Crowne Plaza by IHG has unveiled its latest white paper, Leading the Charge in Blended Travel, highlighting a global shift toward flexible and holistic travel. The study, based on a YouGov survey of 12,000 respondents across multiple countries, reveals a growing demand for work-life integration beyond traditional business travel. India leads this trend, with 33% of respondents having experienced blended travel—the highest among all surveyed nations.
The report identifies key trends shaping blended travel, including self-improvement, wellness, cost efficiency, and meaningful in-person connections. Notably, 51% of Indian travelers prioritize flexible work hours over a high salary, and 38% cite reduced stress as a primary benefit. In response, Crowne Plaza is redesigning its hotels with curated social spaces, wellness programs, and enhanced meeting facilities. The brand’s global refresh includes renovations across 60% of properties in EMEA and APAC by 2026, ensuring it remains at the forefront of blended travel.
With over 400 properties worldwide and 140 more in the pipeline, Crowne Plaza continues its expansion in the $731 billion blended travel market.
