Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Cygnett Park Itanagar, its second property in the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, reinforcing its growing footprint in Northeast India. Strategically located just 800 meters from the Donyi Polo Airport, the new hotel is set to open within two years and will offer 100 keys spread across a two-acre site.
With this addition, Cygnett is advancing toward a 600-key presence in the Northeast, where it currently operates four properties and has eight more in development. The group was among the first branded hospitality chains to enter the region and continues to benefit from growing infrastructure and economic investments by the Indian government.
“With rising corporate interest and infrastructural development in the Northeast, we foresee balanced demand for the new property across leisure, business, MICE, and the wedding segment,” said Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Cygnett Park Itanagar will offer over 6,000 sq. ft. of banquet space, an adjoining lawn, a club lounge, rooftop speciality restaurant, all-day dining, spa, swimming pool, gym, and recreation areas. It promises a blend of modern luxury with sustainable design, aligned with the Cygnett Park ethos of green, wellness-oriented hospitality.
As part of its national expansion, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts aims to open 10–12 new properties annually, with a long-term goal of surpassing 100 hotels across India.
