Travel World Online spoke to Seema Kadam, Regional Director – Los Angeles Tourism in India, at SATTE 2022, who believes “India is well poised to retain its pre-pandemic position as one of the fastest growing international markets to Los Angeles”.
“India is an important market for Los Angeles Tourism, and with an aim to revive inbound Indian arrivals, we are here at SATTE 2022. With the resumption of international flights and lifting of travel restrictions, we believe India is well poised to retain its pre-pandemic position as one of the fastest growing international markets to Los Angeles,” she said.
Kadam was confident that SATTE 2022 will help serve as the perfect platform to amplify opportunities to place Los Angeles as a favourite destination for Indian travellers.
In 2019, 135,000 Indians had visited Los Angeles, helping boost the city’s revenue to $301 million. During the pre-pandemic period, travellers from India were the third highest spenders after China and the Middle East, with and average spend of $2,257 per Indian visitor.
