Dr Suborno Bose Leads AI Transformation in Global Hospitality Education

In a groundbreaking leap for the hospitality sector, Dr Suborno Bose, Chairman of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and CEO of the International Hospitality Council (UK), has been recognized as the driving force behind the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in hospitality education.

From founding East India’s first private hospitality institute in 1989 to building Asia’s largest chain of hospitality schools, Dr Bose has continually redefined the industry. His latest innovation, NamAIste – HospitalityGPT, is the world’s first generative AI knowledge engine for the hospitality and tourism sectors. The tool delivers real-time insights, trends, and best practices to students, educators, and professionals—ushering in a new era of future-ready, research-driven learning.

“Technology must enhance, not replace, the human essence of hospitality,” says Dr Bose, whose philosophy of ‘High Tech, Higher Touch’ captures the balance between AI and empathy.

He has also launched the Global Knowledge Sharing Declaration on AI in Hospitality, bringing together 50 countries and institutions in a collective effort to shape the future of AI-driven education.

In recognition of his pioneering contributions, Dr Bose was recently honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Hospitality and Innovation through Technology by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Government of India.

Alongside his technological ventures, Dr Bose continues to mentor the next generation through platforms like the IIHM International Young Chef Olympiad—the world’s largest culinary competition—and initiatives nurturing over 28,000 young chefs annually.
