ECKO Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Mr. Shekhar Chandra as General Manager – Operations and Pre-Opening, marking a strategic move as the hospitality brand expands its footprint across key destinations in India. Mr. Chandra brings with him over two decades of rich experience in the hospitality sector, having held senior leadership roles with renowned names such as Royal Orchid Hotels, Wyndham Worldwide, Radisson, Hilton Hotels, and Ministry of Sound.
Known for his dynamic leadership and results-oriented approach, Mr. Chandra has consistently demonstrated expertise in boosting revenue, streamlining operations, and enhancing guest satisfaction. His proficiency in managing cross-functional teams, along with a strategic focus on profitability and service quality, has led to the successful implementation of innovative initiatives that elevate guest experiences, increase efficiency, and promote positive workplace culture.
A postgraduate of Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan University in Garhwal, Mr. Chandra’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for ECKO Hotels & Resorts, which is actively growing its portfolio of boutique and experiential properties. In his new role, he will lead all pre-opening and operational initiatives, ensuring excellence across departments while upholding the brand’s core values of sustainability, uniqueness, community engagement, and advanced technology integration.
