Fairfest Media Expands Global Footprint, Acquires Fast-Growing WTE Miami Travel Show

Fairfest Media, the organiser of OTM—Asia’s largest travel show—has taken a major step in its global expansion strategy by acquiring WTE Miami, the rapidly rising travel trade show in the United States. The move strengthens Fairfest’s presence in the Americas and reflects its ambition to build a world-spanning portfolio of B2B travel industry exhibitions.

Launched in 2022, WTE Miami has quickly gained credibility as one of the most dynamic travel trade platforms in North America. Hosted at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the event enjoys strong institutional support from Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami-Dade County, and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Over the years, the show has attracted tourism boards, convention bureaus, airlines, and global travel brands including American Airlines, Avianca, Delta Air Lines, Bahamas, Spain, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico, Ecuador, and FrenchBee. Major U.S. travel associations and consortia have also partnered with the event, making it a power hub for networking and business development.

In 2025, WTE Miami welcomed over 300 exhibitors and 3,500 industry attendees, including a substantial contingent of hosted buyers. Organisers have already set their sights higher for the 2026 edition—projecting double the size, expanded B2B opportunities, and wider media reach in Miami, one of the world’s most culturally vibrant travel gateways.

For Fairfest Media, the acquisition adds a significant new dimension to its global travel events network. The company works closely with tourism boards, national tourism organisations, airlines, and hotel groups from more than 80 countries. Over three decades, Fairfest’s exhibitions have brought together 15,000+ travel brands and 100,000 industry professionals from 120 countries. Its past partners include leading organisations such as Atout France, the U.S. Commercial Service, Italian National Tourist Board, European Tourism Association, Visit Qatar, PROMPERU, Tanzania Tourist Board, Tourism Malaysia, and many more.

Announcing the acquisition, Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media, said:
“We are excited to welcome WTE Miami to the Fairfest portfolio. WTE is firmly positioned as a global tradeshow serving the world’s largest travel market. We already see a 100% growth potential for the 2026 edition, driven by strong synergies between both teams.”

Javier P. Palencia, Director of WTE Miami, added:
“Becoming part of the Fairfest family gives WTE Miami access to a global client network and unmatched expertise. This partnership will significantly elevate the show’s reach and performance. Together, we aim to double both exhibitors and attendees in 2026.”

Set to take place on 27–28 October 2026, the next edition of WTE Miami will mark the show’s most ambitious chapter yet. With its expanded scale, enhanced focus on ROI-driven business meetings, and deeper industry collaborations, the event promises to strengthen Miami’s position as a leading gateway between the Americas and the world.
