FAITH Conclave 2025 to Shape India’s $3 Trillion Tourism Vision by 2047

The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) has announced the much-anticipated FAITH Conclave 2025, India’s largest tourism policy dialogue, scheduled for 12–13 August 2025 at The Taj Palace, New Delhi. Held under the theme “Indian Tourism: Invincible Spirit!”, the two-day conclave aims to create a unified vision to transform India into a global tourism powerhouse by 2047.

Chaired by Padma Shri awardee Mr. Ajeet Bajaj (FAITH Vice Chair) and co-chaired by FAITH General Secretary Mr. Rajiv Mehra, the event will bring together top government dignitaries, policymakers, and industry stalwarts from across India’s tourism and hospitality sectors. Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, MD & CEO of Indian Hotels Company Ltd., currently serves as FAITH Board Chair.

The Conclave is positioned as a national movement focused on building a $3 trillion tourism economy by 2047, generating 100 million foreign tourist arrivals and 20 billion domestic visits annually. Mr. Ajay Prakash, FAITH Vice Chair, emphasized, “FAITH 2025 is a tipping point for creating Viksit Bharat through tourism. This is not just a dialogue—it’s the beginning of a transformation.”

Key objectives include making tourism a concurrent subject in the Indian Constitution, securing export industry status, and rationalizing GST across the tourism value chain. Sessions will spotlight sectoral reforms like rural, wellness, and spiritual tourism circuits, destination-specific infrastructure plans, and country-specific inbound strategies.

Confirmed speakers include prominent leaders such as Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat (Union Minister for Tourism), Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia (Minister for DONER), Shri Rohan Khaunte (Goa Tourism Minister), and senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism. Industry icons like Mr. Amitabh Kant, Mr. Rajesh Magow (MakeMyTrip), Mr. Pieter Elbers (IndiGo), Mr. Dipak Deva (TCI), Mr. Anil Chadha (ITC Hotels), Mr. K B Kachru (Radisson Hotels), and Ms. Homa Mistry (Trail Blazer Tours) will also share insights.

As a collaborative platform, FAITH represents all major tourism associations in India—ADTOI, ATOAI, FHRAI, HAI, IATO, ICPB, IHHA, ITTA, TAAI, and TAFI—alongside cause partner AIRDA, ensuring inclusive, transparent dialogue.

Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s G20 message that “Terrorism divides, but tourism unites,” FAITH Conclave 2025 will reaffirm tourism’s central role in driving India’s economy, cultural diplomacy, and global image. The event is set to serve as a strategic turning point in India’s journey to becoming one of the world’s top five tourism economies.
