The Federation of Associations in Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH), India’s leading tourism policy think tank, will host its National Tourism Conclave titled “Tourism 2030 – India on Mission Mode” on June 4–5 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The event aims to bring together key stakeholders from the government and the tourism industry to outline a strategic roadmap for transforming India into a USD 3 trillion tourism economy by 2047, contributing 10% to the national GDP.
FAITH Chairman, Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, emphasized India’s rapid economic growth and changing travel behavior as key drivers of sustained demand in the tourism sector. “With foreign tourist arrivals set to surpass pre-COVID levels and travel evolving into a non-discretionary spend, the sector is poised for long-term growth. The conclave will focus on transformative policy frameworks and creating an investment-friendly ecosystem to unlock India’s tourism potential,” he said.
The two-day conclave will include panel discussions and interactive sessions on critical themes such as holistic travel ecosystems, world-class infrastructure and connectivity, sustainability and inclusivity in tourism, preservation of culture and heritage, destination promotion, and leveraging India’s demographic dividend by building a skilled talent pool.
Mr. Ajeet Bajaj, Vice Chairman of FAITH, stated that the conclave will see participation from top government officials and industry leaders. The policy recommendations from the discussions will be submitted to the authorities to help shape India’s long-term tourism strategy aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
