FLY91 Managing Director and CEO Manoj Chacko has been honoured with the ‘Business Leader of the Year’ award at the 14th Business Goa Awards for Corporate Excellence 2026, recognising the airline’s growing role in strengthening regional connectivity across India.
The award was presented in Panaji at a ceremony attended by leading entrepreneurs and business leaders from the state.
Accepting the honour, Chacko said the recognition reflects the collective effort of the FLY91 team in connecting underserved and unserved regions of India through regional aviation. He also highlighted the airline’s Goa roots, describing the recognition as a significant milestone for the carrier, which began operations in 2024.
As a Goa-headquartered regional airline, FLY91 has positioned itself around improving last-mile air connectivity and supporting regional economic growth. The airline currently operates across 12 destinations, including emerging regional routes in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.
The recognition comes at a time when India’s regional aviation sector continues to expand under rising demand for direct connectivity to smaller cities and tourism destinations.
