Frasers Hospitality Expands Modena by Fraser Brand with New Openings in Shenzhen and Shanghai

Frasers Hospitality has strengthened its presence in Mainland China with the launch of two new properties under the Modena by Fraser brand—Modena by Fraser Shenzhen and Modena by Fraser Wujiaochang Shanghai. These additions mark a significant step in the group’s long-term strategy to cater to modern, experience-led travellers across Asia.

Modena by Fraser Shenzhen, which soft opened on March 29, 2025, is located in the heart of Luohu District within the Greater Bay Area. The 325-unit residence is housed in the iconic Shennan 1001 tower, designed by London-based PLP Architecture. The property features smart studios and two-bedroom apartments, each offering multi-functional spaces ideal for both short- and long-term stays. Amenities include a pickleball court, gym, yoga studio, relaxation lounge, lobby café, and outdoor barbecue area. Its strategic location offers direct connectivity to Hong Kong via multiple border crossings and metro lines 2, 5, and 8.

Meanwhile, Modena by Fraser Wujiaochang Shanghai opened on May 20, 2025, in the bustling Yangpu District. Situated near major commercial hubs and educational institutions such as Fudan and Tongji Universities, the 307-unit property offers fully furnished studios to two-bedroom apartments ranging from 23 to 66 sqm. The residence is equipped with a landscaped garden, smart gym with yoga studio, relaxation room, versatile meeting areas, and a stylish Common Room with amphitheatre seating. A signature restaurant serves a curated menu of Cantonese and local Shanghai cuisine.

Both properties reflect Modena by Fraser’s commitment to intuitive living through flexible spaces, community engagement, and wellness-focused design. “These openings reinforce our competitive advantage and address growing demand for extended-stay accommodations in China,” said Eu Chin Fen, CEO of Frasers Hospitality. With this strategic expansion, Frasers Hospitality continues to solidify its footprint in Asia’s most dynamic markets.
