In a continued push towards enhancing food safety standards in the hospitality sector, the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) recently organized the latest edition of the Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC), under the guidance of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Held on April 30, 2025, at Amarpreet Hotel – A M Hotel Kollection, the session brought together 28 hospitality professionals from the region. The training focused on critical aspects of food safety, sanitation practices, and sustainable waste management—equipping participants with practical skills to meet both national regulatory requirements and international benchmarks.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Pasupathy V., an experienced trainer from Parikshan, alongside Mr. Sudipto Hore, General Manager of Amarpreet Hotel. Their involvement highlighted the growing commitment within the hospitality sector to raise operational standards through structured training and capacity building. With this session, HRAWI has successfully certified a total of 3,474 professionals through its FoSTaC initiatives, further reinforcing its mission to foster a culture of food safety and compliance. These trainings play a crucial role in empowering food handlers and supervisory staff with actionable knowledge, promoting safe, hygienic, and sustainable practices across hotels and restaurants in India.
