Global exhibition organizers affirm Thailand’s strength as a leading MICE destination

The inaugural summit was organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), and was a major success. Participants at the recent Summit, themed See Tomorrow Now, emphasized the need for the Thai exhibition industry to embrace advanced digital technologies to meet evolving demands. The event aimed to help delegates envision future business opportunities in Thailand, using exhibitions as a strategic springboard.

TCEB President Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya celebrated the success of the Exhibition Industry Summit 2024, highlighting its significance as top European and Asian exhibition organizers gained firsthand insights into Thailand’s vision and development plans. He stressed the importance of this understanding for future venue selections and noted valuable recommendations received to advance the industry in the global market.

During the summit, world exhibition leaders met Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who affirmed the government’s support, including initiatives like the One Stop Service System to streamline exhibition activities and foster sustainable economic growth. A roundtable discussion with government officials underscored the exhibition industry’s role in attracting foreign investment and boosting the economy, aligning with policies to promote high-value tourism and strengthen related sectors.
