Goa has secured a lifetime membership with the India Convention Promotion Bureau, marking a strategic push to strengthen its Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) segment.
The move signals a shift from a largely seasonal leisure destination to a year-round hub for corporate events and international conferences.
Tourism authorities say the partnership will enhance Goa’s positioning by combining its established hospitality strengths with improved convention capabilities. Access to ICPB’s global network and expertise is expected to help attract large-scale international events and elevate service standards.
The initiative is also aimed at reducing seasonality in tourism by driving consistent business travel demand, while creating broader economic impact across sectors including hospitality, aviation, and local enterprises.
Sustainability remains central to the strategy, with a focus on responsible growth and ensuring benefits reach local communities. With this development, Goa is set to strengthen its standing in India’s fast-growing MICE tourism landscape.
