
The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, has taken a significant step in strengthening its international presence by successfully hosting the exclusive Experience Goa Roadshow at the prestigious City Palace in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on September 15, 2025. The event was designed to position Goa as a vibrant year-round destination offering much more than its iconic beaches, showcasing heritage, festivals, wellness, culture, and adventure to the Uzbek travel trade.
Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, highlighted Goa’s evolving global identity, stating that the destination now represents diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability. He emphasized that the Tashkent roadshow has created new opportunities for collaboration and connectivity with Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, while inviting more travelers to explore Goa’s immersive experiences. Supporting this vision, Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, underlined how the roadshow reinforced Goa’s image as an authentic destination and laid a strong foundation for future trade partnerships.
The event drew strong participation from leading Uzbek tour operators, travel agents, airline partners, and dignitaries who engaged in productive interactions with Goa Tourism representatives. Key highlights of the showcase included Goa’s flagship initiatives—Goa Beyond Beaches and Regenerative Tourism which emphasize sustainable, community-centric tourism that benefits both visitors and locals.
With the resounding success of the Tashkent roadshow, Goa Tourism continues its strategic push to expand its international footprint, foster stronger partnerships, and promote its diverse offerings on the global stage, making it one of India’s most attractive destinations for cultural, leisure, and sustainable travel experiences.
