Goa Tourism Showcases Regenerative and MICE Potential at Great Indian Travel Bazaar 2025

Goa Tourism marked a strong presence at the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2025 held in Jaipur from May 4–6, showcasing the state’s diverse, sustainable, and regenerative tourism offerings to international buyers, tour operators, and industry stakeholders.

Led by Mr. Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS, Secretary of Tourism, along with Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, Mr. Gavin Dias, General Manager, GTDC, and Mr. Rajesh Kale, Deputy Director (South), the Goa delegation engaged in productive B2B meetings, policy discussions, and networking sessions. The state’s participation reinforced its commitment to expanding its global tourism footprint beyond traditional beach-centric appeal.

Mr. Ahuja also represented Goa as a panelist in the key session “Catalyzing Growth: How Tourism Policies are Attracting MICE Opportunities”, alongside tourism leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Odisha. He highlighted Goa’s evolving infrastructure, policy initiatives, and promotional strategies aimed at positioning the state as a rising hub for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.

Commenting on Goa’s participation, Director of Tourism Shri Kedar Naik said, “Goa’s strong showing at GITB reflects increasing interest in our destination’s regenerative tourism and cultural richness. The encouraging response supports our vision of promoting sustainable, experience-driven travel and diversifying Goa’s tourism portfolio.”

The successful showcase at GITB 2025 sets the stage for Goa Tourism to strengthen partnerships and build new avenues for responsible growth and global engagement in the years ahead.
