
Goa Tourism made a strong international impression at OTDYKH Leisure 2025, one of Russia’s largest travel and tourism exhibitions, held at the Timiryazev Exhibition Center in Moscow. With the theme “Sunshine and More in Goa”, the Goa Tourism Pavilion attracted global travel trade professionals, media, and visitors, presenting the state as a year-round destination that goes far beyond beaches.
The Goa delegation, led by Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, and supported by Shri Prasad Kavlekar, Senior Manager, Marketing, GTDC, actively engaged with international stakeholders to build stronger collaborations. Shri Naik also held a key meeting with Shri Nikhilesh Giri, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Moscow, to strengthen Goa’s outreach and tourism partnerships in Russia and beyond.
Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, emphasized that Goa is moving towards a new identity. “Through Sunshine and More in Goa, we are showcasing culture, wellness, adventure, and sustainability. Our aim is to position Goa as a holistic destination and a top choice for international travellers,” he said.
Day 1 of the pavilion featured interactive trade sessions, digital storytelling, and multimedia showcases that highlighted Goa’s transformation into a sustainable tourism hub. Visitors explored Goa’s offerings, including pristine coastline, luxury hospitality, spiritual and wellness retreats, heritage trails, adventure sports, hinterland experiences, and community-based tourism.
Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, noted the strong global interest in Goa’s sustainable model. “The enthusiastic response on Day 1 reaffirms Goa’s recall among international visitors. At OTDYKH, we are focusing on regenerative tourism, responsible travel, and authentic local experiences,” he said.
With OTDYKH Leisure 2025 running till September 12, the Goa Tourism Pavilion is set to host more B2B meetings, cultural showcases, and networking opportunities. By promoting sustainability, preserving ecosystems, and empowering local communities, Goa Tourism is positioning the state as a world-class destination that truly delivers “Sunshine and More.”
