
Goa Tourism has successfully concluded a strategic roadshow in Muscat, Oman, in April 2025, aimed at promoting Goa as a premier tourism destination for Middle Eastern travelers. The high-impact event brought together key stakeholders from Oman’s travel and hospitality industry, tour operators, media professionals, and potential investors, reinforcing Goa’s commitment to global tourism partnerships.
Led by Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director of GTDC, and supported by a strong delegation including members of the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) headed by President Shri Jack Sukhija, the roadshow focused on Goa’s evolving tourism landscape. Highlights included emerging tourism initiatives such as regenerative tourism, eco-tourism circuits, wellness tourism, adventure activities, and immersive cultural heritage experiences.
Smt. Tavishi Bahl, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in Muscat, addressed the gathering, underscoring the growing cultural and tourism ties between Goa and Oman. The event also featured a ‘Goa Evening’ at Crowne Plaza Muscat, offering guests an engaging showcase of Goan culture through folk performances, a destination presentation, and a networking dinner.
Commenting on the initiative, Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte emphasized Goa’s transformation into a holistic destination beyond beaches, with spiritual circuits, hinterland charm, and world-class MICE infrastructure. Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik, reiterated Goa’s vision of becoming a global tourism hub through sustainable practices and cultural promotion.
Shri Kuldeep Arolkar highlighted the overwhelming response from Oman’s travel trade and the importance of strengthening bilateral tourism ties. The roadshow marked a key milestone in Goa Tourism’s international outreach, paving the way for increased connectivity, strategic partnerships, and curated experiences for Middle Eastern travelers.
