The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Western India (HRAWI) recently conducted an FSSAI-certified Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) and Management Training Programme. Held on November 11 at DY Patil Deemed To Be University’s School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies in Navi Mumbai, the event trained 39 students on key aspects of food safety.
The comprehensive program covered crucial topics such as food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and waste management, equipping participants with practical skills to implement robust food safety measures in their operations. The training was inaugurated by Dr. Pasupathy V., Trainer; Aarti Pandirkar, Vice Principal; Padmaja Binakar, Assistant Professor of Catering Science; and Manasi Parab, Administrative Assistant for Training & Seminars at HRAWI.
To date, HRAWI has successfully trained and certified 3,208 hospitality professionals and students through its FoSTaC and Management Training Programme. This milestone underscores HRAWI’s dedication to enhancing food safety standards in the hospitality industry, ensuring the sector adheres to stringent safety protocols in its daily practices.
