Hyatt Accelerates Growth in India and South West Asia with 21 Hotel Deals Signed in 2024, Seven Openings Set for 2025

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has announced a robust expansion strategy for India and South West Asia, following a landmark year in 2024 during which it signed agreements for 21 new hotel properties. Strengthening its position as a key player in the region’s hospitality industry, Hyatt is set to open seven new hotels in 2025 across Ghaziabad, Kasauli, Kochi, Bhopal, Vithalapur, Jaipur, and Butwal (Nepal).

This strategic growth covers a blend of high-demand business hubs, cultural destinations, and emerging leisure and pilgrimage locations, reflecting Hyatt’s commitment to aligning its offerings with evolving traveller preferences. The 2024 signings also marked key developments for Hyatt’s lifestyle brands, including the expansion of the Andaz and JdV by Hyatt portfolios and the first Destination by Hyatt deal in India.

Hyatt’s expansion in 2024 included properties in key urban and industrial centres like GIFT City, Greater Noida, and additional footprints in Mumbai and Bengaluru. Leisure travellers can expect new openings in destinations such as Vrindavan, Kumbhalgarh, Katra, Kandaghat, Jim Corbett National Park, Pushkar, Goa, and Jaipur.

“2024 was a milestone year for Hyatt in India and South West Asia,” said Sunjae Sharma, Managing Director, India & South West Asia, Hyatt. “With 21 new deals signed, we’re excited to continue this momentum in 2025, with the aim of reaching 100 hotels in India within the next five years. This reflects our confidence in the market and our vision to lead in offering premium, wellness-oriented, and culturally rich hospitality experiences.”

Currently, Hyatt operates 52 hotels in South West Asia, including 50 in India and two in Nepal, across nine distinct brands. The group has also surpassed the milestone of 10,000 keys in the region, underscoring its leadership in the premium hospitality space.

Hyatt’s ongoing expansion aligns with India’s fast-growing travel ecosystem, where demand is surging for unique lifestyle experiences, destination-driven stays, and luxury offerings — all areas where Hyatt plans to grow its presence aggressively in the coming years.
