The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) held its first major post-election gathering on Friday, 30th May 2025, at The Park Hotel, New Delhi, bringing together over 175 members from across the tourism and hospitality industry. The Interactive Luncheon Meeting marked the official introduction of the newly elected Executive Committee and served as a platform for setting the agenda for the association’s future.
Led by the new President Ravi Gosain, the meeting focused on charting a progressive roadmap for the Indian tourism sector. Key discussions revolved around simplifying improving coordination with government bodies, and promoting sustainable, responsible, and inclusive tourism models. The leadership emphasized digital transformation, capacity building, and strategic marketing to boost both domestic and inbound tourism.
During the open floor session, members voiced concerns about ongoing challenges such as visa processing delays, high taxation, and the need for better infrastructure. Suggestions were also made for stronger engagement with regional circuits, rural tourism initiatives, and international promotional campaigns under “Incredible India.”
“The overwhelming response from members today shows the strength and unity of IATO.
The luncheon concluded with informal networking, reinforcing IATO’s mission to remain a collaborative and member-driven organization. With a renewed vision and proactive leadership, IATO is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Indian tourism.
