
The newly elected office bearers of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Union Tourism Minister, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, at his office today. Led by IATO President Mr. Ravi Gosain, the delegation included Mr. Rajnish Kaistha (Senior Vice President), Mr. Sanjay Razdan (Vice President), Mr. Sunil Mishra (Honorary Secretary), Mr. Deepak K Bhatnagar (Honorary Treasurer), and Mr. Viney Tyagi (Honorary Joint Secretary).
During the meeting, the IATO delegation formally invited the Tourism Minister to the 40th IATO Annual Convention, scheduled to be held in Puri, Odisha, from 22nd to 25th August 2025. Alongside the invitation, the delegation discussed key issues facing the inbound tourism industry and highlighted the critical support required from the Ministry of Tourism to boost international tourist arrivals to India.
The Hon’ble Minister welcomed the delegation warmly and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the tourism sector. He assured that the Ministry is already taking proactive measures to address industry challenges and that positive outcomes can be expected in the near future.
The meeting was described as highly productive by the IATO team, who expressed optimism that their concerns and suggestions would be seriously considered by the government. The engagement reflects the continuing collaboration between the tourism industry and the government to strengthen India’s position as a leading global travel destination.
