Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Taj Safaris lodge in Satpura, Madhya Pradesh, marking a further expansion of its eco-tourism footprint in the state. The project, being developed in partnership with Sarvapratham Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., will be a greenfield venture spread across 30 acres and located roughly two hours from Bhopal Airport.
The upcoming property will feature a 20-key luxury lodge, along with an all-day dining restaurant and bar, designed to offer an immersive wildlife experience in one of central India’s most biodiverse regions. Satpura National Park, where the lodge is situated, is known for its rich wildlife, including Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears and Indian bison, along with over 300 species of birds and a wide variety of reptiles. Guests will have access to guided safaris led by trained naturalists, focusing on deeper, interpretive wildlife experiences.
With this signing, IHCL will have five Taj Safaris lodges in Madhya Pradesh, adding Satpura to its existing portfolio in Pench, Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Panna. The move further strengthens the company’s position in India’s growing wildlife and eco-tourism segment.
Sarvapratham Hospitality, the project’s partner, is led by entrepreneurs Kunal Giani, Vishal Premchandani and Kapil Premchandani, whose business interests span sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, supply chain and retail.
IHCL, India’s largest hospitality company, currently operates a portfolio of 620 hotels, including 255 under development, across more than 250 locations in 14 countries. Its brand portfolio includes Taj, Vivanta, SeleQtions, Ginger and several niche luxury and wellness offerings.
The Satpura signing reflects IHCL’s broader strategy of combining luxury hospitality with nature-based tourism, positioning Taj Safaris as a key gateway to India’s wildlife and biodiversity experiences.
