Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced a strategic partnership to grow the iconic Claridges brand. The company has signed a management contract for the landmark property The Claridges, New Delhi, with the agreement set to take effect in April 2025.
Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “This signing aligns with our growth strategy to enhance IHCL’s presence in key metro cities with iconic assets. The Claridges, a distinguished landmark in Lutyens’ Delhi, provides a unique opportunity to expand our footprint at the nation’s most prestigious address, while also paving the way for the potential expansion of The Claridges brand.”
Located in the heart of Delhi, The Claridges has been a symbol of timeless elegance and contemporary luxury for over six decades. Established in 1955, the hotel combines old-world charm with modern sophistication, offering 119 well-appointed rooms and suites. Guests can enjoy a variety of culinary experiences at the hotel’s renowned dining establishments, including the all-day dining at Pickwick, authentic Cantonese cuisine at Jade, traditional Punjabi flavors at Dhaba, Thai-inspired dishes at Erawaan, and Mediterranean classics at Sevilla.
