IHCL Signs Gateway Resort in Kasauli, Expands Himachal Pradesh Portfolio

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new greenfield resort in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. The upcoming property will be developed under the ‘Gateway’ brand, further strengthening the company’s footprint in North India.

Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, IHCL, said that Kasauli’s serene environment and colonial charm make it a sought-after leisure destination. Its proximity to major urban centres positions it as an ideal getaway for travellers seeking a quick retreat. She also expressed delight in partnering with Vasuki Hospitality Private Limited for the project.

The proposed 96-key Gateway Kasauli will offer panoramic views of the surrounding hills and feature a curated mix of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a bar. The resort will also include a heated swimming pool, fitness centre and spa, catering to both leisure and wellness travellers.

Additionally, the property will house over 4,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space, making it suitable for weddings, social gatherings and corporate retreats.

Anshul Singla, Director, Vasuki Hospitality Private Limited, said the company is pleased to enter the hospitality sector in partnership with IHCL. He highlighted Kasauli’s growing popularity as a holiday destination and its strong development potential.

Located in the foothills of the Shivalik range, Kasauli is known for its scenic beauty, heritage appeal and nature-based experiences. Key attractions include Christ Church and the Gilbert Trail.

With this addition, IHCL will have a total of 27 hotels in Himachal Pradesh, including 12 currently under development, reinforcing its expansion strategy in key leisure destinations.
