IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has signed a management agreement with Hotel Eastern Nepal Pvt Ltd to launch Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dhulabari in South-Eastern Nepal, marking the brand’s continued growth in high-potential markets across South West Asia. Scheduled to open in 2026, this 99-room property will be the second collaboration between IHG and Hotel Eastern Nepal Pvt Ltd, following the successful Holiday Inn Resort Kathmandu Budhanilkantha. Strategically located in Dhulabari, Jhapa District—near the Nepal-India border at Kakarvitta and just a short drive from Chandragadi Domestic Airport—the hotel will feature well-appointed rooms and suites, an all-day dining outlet including a rooftop restaurant, a banquet hall, a fitness centre, and ample parking. It will also offer easy access to the revered Pathibhara Devi Temple, just 15 km away. Designed under the modern Generation 5 concept, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dhulabari will cater to business and leisure travellers, as well as MICE events, filling a major gap in branded hotel supply in the region. Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia at IHG, highlighted the move as a testament to the trust and shared vision with their partners, while Mrs. Binita Thapa Khadka, Chairperson of Hotel Eastern Nepal Pvt Ltd, expressed confidence in the hotel’s role in elevating local hospitality and driving economic growth.
