IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the signing of a franchise agreement for Garner Kutch in Gujarat, marking the third Garner® hotel to be signed in India within months of its launch in the IMEA region. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026, Garner Kutch will strengthen IHG’s strategy to rapidly expand its portfolio across India’s underserved secondary and tertiary markets, where the demand for quality, world-class hospitality options is on the rise.
Garner, IHG’s newest midscale conversion brand, focuses on value-conscious travelers by providing high-quality stays that prioritize comfort, reliability, and convenience. The brand is designed with relaxed service, flexible spaces, and locally inspired experiences, perfectly suited for guests seeking dependable hospitality during their travels. Through its efficient franchising model and strong essentials offering, Garner is well-positioned to meet the mounting demand for trusted midscale hotels in India.
The upcoming Garner Kutch will be operated by Royal Buildspace LLP and managed by Rosastays (Rosaoul Hotelco Pvt Ltd), a preferred third-party operator for Garner in India. Rosastays will also oversee two additional properties—Garner Etawah and Garner Kathua—slated to open in 2026 and 2027, respectively. The new hotel will feature 40 well-appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool, fitness center, spa, and spaces for meetings and social gatherings, catering to both business travelers and tourists in the rapidly developing Kutch region.
Kutch, with a population exceeding two million, is a burgeoning industrial and tourism hub in Gujarat, attracting business and leisure visitors thanks to diverse industries, major events like the Rann Utsav, and increasing commercial activity. Notably, the DP World Special Economic Zone, located just 6 km from the hotel, is expected to further fuel demand for quality accommodations in the area.
IHG’s leadership, including Sudeep Jain, Managing Director—South West Asia, emphasizes that the swift adoption of Garner in India demonstrates strong owner confidence and aligns with the brand’s asset-light, high-return model. Deepika Arora, Director of Rosastays, highlights the partnership’s focus on operational excellence and delivering elevated, experience-driven stays for modern travelers. Deepak Chandnani, Partner at Royal Buildspace LLP, underscores that Garner’s unique, owner-centric model combined with IHG’s global expertise makes this hotel the ideal choice for Kutch’s growth trajectory.
The signing of Garner Kutch comes at a strategic time, catering to the region’s rising travel and business needs and reinforcing IHG’s commitment to bringing trusted, midscale hospitality brands to India’s high-potential markets.
