IHG Partners with The Job Plus & THSC to Empower Youth in Hospitality

In a bid to bridge India’s growing hospitality skill gap and create meaningful career pathways, IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has entered into a strategic partnership with The Job Plus and the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC). The initiative aims to skill and empower youth from underserved communities, providing them with sustainable employment opportunities in the service and hospitality sector.

The collaboration aligns with IHG’s global Journey to Tomorrow plan, reinforcing its commitment to driving inclusive growth and responsible business practices. Through educational sponsorships and structured training, the program will help young individuals gain professional expertise, financial independence, and the confidence to choose careers based on passion rather than circumstance.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to nurturing local talent and bridging the industry’s skill gap,” said Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts. “As we expand across India, we remain focused on creating shared value for our people, partners, and communities—guided by our purpose of True Hospitality for Good.”

As the on-ground implementation partner, The Job Plus will manage skilling and employment linkages, leveraging its deep network across India’s hospitality landscape. “With IHG’s global reach, this collaboration will strengthen the talent pipeline and open dignified, long-term career paths for young professionals,” said Divya Krishan, Chief Growth Officer, The Job Plus.

THSC, as the sector skill council, will assess and certify all participants under nationally recognized standards, ensuring industry credibility. Rajan Bahadur, CEO, THSC, added, “Empowering individuals through skill-based education is key to building a resilient and equitable hospitality ecosystem.”

By fostering employability and inclusion, IHG’s partnership signals a strong step toward shaping the next generation of India’s hospitality leaders.
