IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with KGA International Trades Private Limited to launch Holiday Inn Express Kottayam Changanassery, Kerala. Scheduled to open in early 2027, the hotel will be part of the upcoming KGA Mall—an integrated development featuring retail, dining, entertainment, and hospitality.
Located in the scenic town of Changanassery, known for its backwaters and cultural landmarks, the hotel will offer 90 well-appointed rooms, a swimming pool, multiple F&B options, a banquet hall, multiplex, family entertainment centre, and access to national and international retail brands. Its proximity to Kochi, Alleppey, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram makes it ideal for business and leisure travellers.

This marks IHG’s second partnership with KGA Group, following the success of Crowne Plaza Kochi. KGA Group CEO Mr. K C Eapen stated, “We’re proud to collaborate again with IHG. This project supports our vision of developing world-class infrastructure in the region.”
KGA Group, known as NBTC in Kuwait, plans to add six more hotels in India over the next six years.
