Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated Ruhmantic: PHDCCI’s 2nd Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave in Ujjain, highlighting Baba Mahakal as the eternal source of spiritual energy and India’s soft power. Organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, the conclave brought together over 300 delegates including policymakers, spiritual leaders, industry stakeholders, and temple administrators.

Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, lauded Ujjain’s global spiritual leadership, noting the unprecedented growth of tourist inflows and India’s cultural resurgence. The conclave also witnessed the release of the PHDCCI–KPMG report “Faith & Flow: Navigating Crowds in India’s Sacred Spaces”, offering insights into economic opportunities, technology integration, and sustainable pilgrim management.

Sessions ranged from “Temple Economies: Where Faith Meets Livelihood” to “Wellness as the New Spiritual Frontier” and “Divine in the Digital – Spirituality 2.0,” addressing the intersection of tradition, technology, and wellness. A government-industry roundtable chaired by CM Dr. Yadav with Union Minister Shekhawat announced investments including Radisson Hotels’ Ujjain expansion, Sage Group’s Medicity projects, Sri Mandir’s digital pilgrim services, and Indigo Airlines’ increased flights for Simhastha 2028.

With projects like Mahakal Lok Corridor, Omkareshwar, Chitrakoot, Amarkantak developments, and preparations for Simhastha 2028, Madhya Pradesh is positioning itself as a global hub for spiritual tourism, blending devotion with development while strengthening India’s cultural identity on the world stage.
