IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has announced a major international expansion from Mumbai with the launch of direct flights to three key Central Asian and European destinations. Starting September 1, 2025, the airline will operate four weekly flights between Mumbai and Tashkent (Uzbekistan), followed by four weekly flights between Mumbai and Almaty (Kazakhstan) from September 2, 2025.
These new routes come on the heels of IndiGo’s recent debut on the Mumbai–Tbilisi (Georgia) route, which commenced on August 2, 2025. The additions build on IndiGo’s existing Delhi connections to Tashkent, Almaty, and Tbilisi, operational since 2023, and further strengthen Mumbai’s position as a global aviation hub.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said: “After the success of our Delhi–Tbilisi, Almaty, and Tashkent operations, we are delighted to extend these connections from Mumbai. Combined with our new long-haul flights to Manchester and Amsterdam, IndiGo is enhancing international connectivity from India’s financial capital. We look forward to welcoming travellers on these exciting routes.”
