IndiGo has announced a new direct flight service between Hyderabad and Madinah, set to begin on February 20, 2025. This marks the airline’s 38th international and 128th overall destination, reinforcing its commitment to connecting people, places, and cultures. The three-times-weekly service will provide affordable and convenient travel options for pilgrims and other travelers visiting the revered city of Madinah, a key destination for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, highlighted the route’s significance, stating that it not only expands the airline’s network but also facilitates cultural and religious exchanges. IndiGo will now operate over 100 weekly flights to Saudi Arabia from India, further strengthening its presence in the region.
Hyderabad, known for its rich history and thriving technology sector, serves as a major hub for IndiGo, with over 190 daily departures connecting 65 domestic and 15 international destinations. Madinah, home to the Prophet’s Mosque, Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, is a deeply spiritual city and a central destination for Islamic pilgrims. The new route is expected to enhance travel convenience while promoting cultural and economic ties between the two cities.
