Indonesia Strengthens India Market Outreach at OTM 2026

Indonesia reinforced its commitment to the Indian outbound market at OTM 2026, engaging closely with travel trade partners to promote destination diversity beyond traditional leisure travel. The Ministry of Tourism highlighted focused initiatives aimed at increasing destination awareness, improving trade partnerships and encouraging repeat visitation from India.

Discussions with Indian tour operators centred on experiential travel, island hopping, culture-led itineraries and sustainable tourism offerings. Indonesia also emphasised the importance of tailored products for Indian travellers, including weddings, honeymoons and corporate incentive travel.

The destination’s participation comes at a time when Indian outbound travel to Southeast Asia continues to grow steadily, supported by improved air connectivity and simplified travel processes. Trade interactions at OTM focused on building long-term collaborations rather than transactional sales.

Indonesia’s engagement at the exhibition underscored its strategic approach to the Indian market, positioning the country as a versatile destination capable of catering to evolving traveller expectations.
