ISKCON Dwarka, in collaboration with the Adani Group, has unveiled a range of service initiatives for the upcoming Kumbh Mela 2025 at Haridwar, aiming to enhance the experience for crores of pilgrims. The partnership focuses on providing essential facilities, meals, and transportation during the event.
A key highlight of this initiative is the provision of 2 lakh meals daily on Amrit Snan days, the most auspicious days of the Mela when devotees take a holy dip in the Ganga. Sponsored by the Adani Group, this large-scale feeding program will operate for three days around each Amrit Snan. Additionally, ISKCON will distribute 60,000 meals daily throughout the Mela, including 18,000 meals for sanitation workers, acknowledging their efforts in maintaining cleanliness and safety.
To support transportation within the Mela grounds, the Adani Group is sponsoring golf cart services for elderly pilgrims, differently-abled individuals, and mothers with children. Further, meals will be provided for drivers and conductors of electric buses, which facilitate the daily transport of over 1 lakh pilgrims.
On the spiritual front, the ISKCON Kumbh Team, led by Sanaka Sanatana Prabhu, has arranged accommodations for 3,000 devotees, hosting kirtans, devotional dances, and discourses. A daily Bullock Cart Sankirtan procession will also be conducted, featuring chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and traditional music to involve pilgrims in devotional activities.
Gaur Prabhu, Vice President of ISKCON Dwarka, highlighted the importance of these efforts, stating, “Serving pilgrims during the Amrit Snan days reflects ISKCON’s mission of compassion and devotion. With the support of the Adani Group and the dedication of the ISKCON Kumbh Team, we aim to provide a spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.”
This collaboration promises to enhance the spiritual and logistical aspects of Kumbh Mela 2025, ensuring a memorable experience for millions of devotees.
