
The Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced the appointment of Galit Hoffman as the new Consul-Tourism Affairs for India, reinforcing Israel’s commitment to enhancing tourism ties with one of its most promising international markets. With an extensive professional background in diplomacy, strategic communication, international market development, and private sector leadership, Galit brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. She has previously served at the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi as Spokesperson and later as Deputy Defense Attaché, contributing significantly to bilateral cooperation between India and Israel. In the private sector, she spearheaded sales and product marketing for the Indian market at Mobileye, a global leader in automotive safety and smart mobility.
In her new position, Galit will lead Israel’s tourism promotion strategy in India, collaborating with travel trade professionals, airlines, media partners, and digital platforms to showcase Israel as a unique destination. Expressing her excitement, Galit said, “India has been part of my journey for many years. I feel fortunate to return once again and to continue strengthening the special relationship between our two countries. In this role, I look forward to helping more Indian travelers discover Israel—a destination that blends history and innovation, nature and spirituality, culture, cuisine, and entertainment like nowhere else in the world.”
