The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) participated in the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) convention, held in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, marking its debut at the event. The initiative aimed to promote Israel as a unique adventure destination while strengthening ties with Indian tour operators and tourism professionals.
IMOT highlighted Israel’s diverse adventure travel offerings, including hiking in the Eilat mountains, rappelling in the Golan Heights, and scuba diving in the Red Sea. The ministry also explored partnerships and familiarization trips to provide Indian agents with firsthand experiences of these activities, fostering long-term collaborations.
Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing, IMOT-India, emphasized Israel’s appeal to thrill-seekers, stating, “Israel’s diverse landscapes and activities make it an unparalleled adventure spot. This convention gave us valuable insights into the Indian adventure market, paving the way for partnerships and inclusion of Israel in adventure travel itineraries.”
With 8,500 Indian tourists visiting Israel between January and October and the upcoming Jubilee year celebrations, IMOT is poised to attract more travelers. Its participation at ATOAI underscores its commitment to diversifying tourism products and strengthening India-Israel ties through shared adventure experiences.
