Israel Tourism Showcases Post-Ceasefire Opportunities at ITB Asia 2025

Following the recent ceasefire, the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) reinforced its trade engagement at ITB Asia 2025 (15–17 October, Singapore), spotlighting leisure and MICE as key growth drivers. The delegation aimed to strengthen partnerships in high-potential markets, emphasizing Israel’s evolving offerings in heritage, culinary experiences, wellness, and modern leisure.

The Israel pavilion, inaugurated by H.E. Eliyahu Vered Hazan, Ambassador to Singapore, drew significant interest from travel trade, MICE operators, and potential partners. Israeli DMCs co-exhibited alongside IMOT, generating positive response toward Israel as a preferred destination.

The delegation, including Hassan Madah, Amruta Bangera, Olya Gurevich Lucas, Anna Oraiza Aban, and Li Zimu, conducted over 100 strategic meetings with tour operators, airlines, and event planners. Discussions focused on co-marketing initiatives, enhanced air connectivity, and tailored itineraries for Indian and Asian travellers, building a strong partnership pipeline for 2026.

Tourism data reflects this optimism: Israel received 118,200 tourists in August 2025, up 39% from July, and 814,000 visitors between January–August 2025—a 21% increase over 2024. India contributed 7,800 visitors, making it the largest Asian market, followed by Indonesia, China, and the Philippines. India remains pivotal, being the first country where Israel’s new eVisa was launched.

Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing, IMOT – India, said: “India continues to be a key growth market. With the eVisa and rising traveller interest, we see strong opportunities to convert awareness into bookings. Trade and MICE partners are eager to co-create offerings that blend heritage, wellness, and contemporary experiences for Indian travellers.”

Insights from ITB Asia 2025 will guide IMOT’s India strategy in 2026, focusing on joint marketing campaigns, airline partnerships, and trade education programs to drive sustainable visitor growth.
