ITB Berlin 2025 begins on a high note, reflecting strong growth and renewed confidence in the global travel industry. According to the latest World Travel Monitor® report by IPK International, outbound travel surged by 13% in 2024, returning to pre-pandemic levels of 2019.
“The optimistic mood at ITB Berlin, driven by high booking volumes and international participation, signals a bright future for the industry,” said Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin. The event is setting new benchmarks with innovative show formats, digital networking, and enhanced global collaboration.
Key growth drivers include the MICE segment and rising demand from Asia, alongside positive developments in Europe, Latin America, and North America. Spain remains the top global travel destination, followed by the USA, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, the UK, and Austria. Travelers are increasingly seeking authentic, high-quality experiences—combining comfort, scenic beauty, gastronomy, and cultural attractions—making 2025 a promising year for the travel industry.
