ITB Berlin 2025 to Feature Growing Medical & Health Tourism Segment

The Medical & Health Tourism segment at ITB Berlin 2025 is set to provide a dynamic platform for the rapidly expanding global medical and health tourism market. Taking place from March 4-6, 2025, at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, the event will showcase innovative products and services in the Medical & Health Tourism Pavilion located in Hall 4.1. Exhibitors, including clinics, hospitals, hotels, and event organizers, will present the latest trends and developments in the industry. Notable participants include the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Turkish and German medical travel providers, and international associations like the European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA) and the European Spas Association (ESPA).

A comprehensive program will be offered throughout the event, including presentations, panel discussions, and product launches on the Medical & Health Tourism Stage. Topics such as sustainability in thermal destinations and wellness trends in medical tourism will be explored, providing valuable insights for trade visitors, agencies, and the media. Key speakers, including industry leaders like Olga Gončarova (CEO, Lithuania Travel) and Miroslav Borshosh (Bulgarian tourism minister), will discuss innovations in health tourism, demographic changes, and the growing importance of destinations such as Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Düsseldorf.

Additionally, networking opportunities will be available, including the Medical & Health Media Reception, sponsored by Visit Düsseldorf, and the Medical & Health Networking Reception. On March 5, the ITB Medical Night will feature the presentation of the ITB Medical Tourism Award and the newly introduced ITB Health Tourism Award. At the ITB Berlin Convention, the session “Body and Mind – Transformative Hospitality” will focus on how the hotel industry is adapting to the wellness and medical tourism market.
