
The Indian Tourist Transporters Association (ITTA) successfully organized a drivers’ training program and regional meeting at Hotel Golden Tulip, Agra, today. The event, held in two sessions, focused on skill development for drivers and the benefits of ITTA membership for tourist transporters.
The first session, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, was dedicated to drivers from various companies. ITTA President Mr. Satish Sehrawat, Hon. Secretary Shri Bobby K.S. Sawhney, Mr. Sanjay Nagar, and senior ITTA member Mr. Sunil Gupta (Travel Bureau) conducted the training, covering essential topics such as:
- Self-presentation & communication skills (body language, client greetings, English conversation)
- Interpersonal & hospitality skills (handling demanding clients, cultural awareness)
- Professional conduct (hygiene, vehicle maintenance, avoiding mobile use while driving)
- Safety & navigation (Google Maps usage, emergency protocols)
Joint Secretary Mr. Mahesh Shukla delivered the vote of thanks, emphasizing the importance of disciplined and client-friendly service.
The second session (6:30 PM–8:30 PM) engaged tourist transporters, with ITTA leaders highlighting membership benefits. Chief Guest Mr. Sandeep Shukla, Assistant Director General (Tourist Office, Agra), urged participants to join ITTA and secure Ministry of Tourism recognition for better industry credibility. Transporters who pledged membership received special gifts.
ITTA extended gratitude to Mr. Sunil Gupta, Mr. Atul Pratap, and Mr. Sandeep Shukla for their pivotal roles in mobilizing attendees. The event marked a significant step toward elevating service standards in India’s tourist transport sector.
