Earning further acclaim, Mayal received the affectionate title “Mother of Sri Lanka,” underscoring decades of commitment to fostering unity, cultural exchange, and growth in South Asian tourism.
This prestigious SATA honor recognizes her dynamic contributions to elevating South Asia’s appeal on the world tourism stage, championing collaboration, and representing a vibrant family of tourism professionals. Accepting the honor, Mayal shared, “Truly honoured to be recognised as the Face of South Asia Tourism by SATA and lovingly called the Mother of Sri Lanka.
