Kerten Hospitality Announces India Entry, Targets 1,000 Keys in First Phase

Kerten Hospitality has announced its entry into the Indian market, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy. The Ireland-headquartered group plans to develop 1,000 keys in the initial phase, introducing its lifestyle-driven and community-focused hospitality concepts to India.

Positioning India as a high-growth market, the company aims to tap into rising demand for experience-led travel, particularly among younger, digitally savvy travellers seeking culturally immersive stays. The move comes amid strong business momentum, with Kerten reporting robust growth across revenues, profitability and management fees in the past year.

Commenting on the development, Marloes Knippenberg said, “India is one of the most dynamic travel markets globally, with a growing appetite for lifestyle-led hospitality. We see strong potential to introduce innovative concepts that blend culture, design and community-driven experiences.”

Kerten Hospitality will bring its portfolio of brands, including The House Hotel, Cloud7 Hotels and HOSME, offering flexible, design-led and locally rooted hospitality models tailored for Indian asset owners and developers.

With a growing global pipeline spanning Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the India foray marks one of the company’s most significant market expansions, reinforcing its focus on emerging travel destinations and experience-driven hospitality.
