In a collaborative effort to bolster the tourism landscape of Gurez Valley, The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar recently partnered with the Dawar Battalion of the Indian Army to conduct a transformative Hospitality Skills Renewal Course.
Held from March 11 to 16 at the prestigious hotel, the program aimed to equip local homestay owners with essential skills to elevate their service standards.
A total of 11 homestay operators from Gurez Valley participated in the comprehensive workshops, which covered crucial domains within the hospitality industry. Through interactive training sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into optimizing operations across housekeeping, front office management, food and beverage services, and marketing and sales strategies.
The initiative was designed to empower local entrepreneurs with the knowledge and expertise necessary to enhance the overall guest experience within their homestays.
By aligning their practices with industry-standard hospitality protocols, the programme sought to position Gurez Valley as a premier tourist destination, capable of offering visitors a truly exceptional and memorable stay, reported Greater Kashmir.
“This collaborative effort between The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar and the Indian Army’s Dawar Battalion is a testament to our commitment to nurturing the growth of tourism in Gurez Valley,” stated a representative from the hotel.
