Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, in collaboration with Hong Kong Tramways (‘Ding Ding’), is launching the Ding Ding Qipao Tour, a cultural tram ride experience through the city’s historic streets starting 17 May 2025, available on weekends. The tour blends vintage elegance with urban exploration, inviting participants to relive Hong Kong’s vibrant past aboard a restored 1920s-style open-top tram from Sheung Wan to Causeway Bay.
Participants can don traditional qipaos, available for rental at Yan Shang Kee boutique in Central, before boarding the TramOramic Tour at 4:15 pm from Western Market Terminus. The tour offers an immersive experience ideal for families, couples, and culture enthusiasts seeking a nostalgic yet modern travel adventure. After arriving at Causeway Bay, guests can visit Salon Lanson—located next to the terminus—for a themed cocktail, The World of Suzie Wong, inspired by the 1960s Hong Kong film classic, available for an additional HKD68 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The Ding Ding Qipao Tour pass is priced at HKD580 per person and includes qipao rental (1:00 pm to 3:00 pm) and a one-hour tram ride. The outfit must be returned the next day between 10:00 am and noon.
To elevate the experience, Lanson Place Causeway Bay is offering the Chronicles of Nostalgia accommodation package, featuring a one-night weekend stay and two Ding Ding Qipao Tour passes, including qipao rentals, tram tickets, and two complimentary themed cocktails. The package is available from HKD2,430 per room per night and runs from 17 May to 17 August 2025.
