- Madhya Pradesh: The Best Film-Friendly State: Principal Secretary, Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is a two-time national award winner as the “Most Film-Friendly State” (2017 & 2020), citing its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and excellent connectivity as major draws for filmmakers. The state’s Film Facilitation Cell streamlines film production by offering incentives and fast-tracking permissions through a single-window system.
- Film Tourism Policy 2.0: Shri Shukla announced that a new, updated Film Tourism Policy 2.0 will be launched soon to further promote the state as a premier filmmaking destination. The updated policy will include enhanced facilities, greater financial incentives, and initiatives to attract international filmmakers.
- Director Amar Kaushik’s Announcement: Director Amar Kaushik revealed plans for multiple sequels of the popular horror-comedy franchise Stree, all set to be filmed in Madhya Pradesh, building on the success of the original Stree, which was also shot in the state.
- Incentives for Filmmakers: Madhya Pradesh’s financial incentives include grants based on the production budget and the percentage of shooting days in the state, offering up to ₹2 crore in support for large-budget films that spend a significant portion of their shooting in the state.
